Understanding Sensory Processing

At FIT4MOM, we are more than fitness, we’re a supportive community dedicated to empowering moms through every stage of motherhood. From pregnancy to postpartum and beyond, our programs are designed to nurture your body and mind.

We had the pleasure of having Amanda Godwin, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist from Amity Point Pediatric Therapy, join us at our recent Ask the Expert event. She highlighted the importance of early intervention through occupational and speech therapy, which can help children develop coping strategies and improve their sensory integration skills. The conversation and insight we had as a group was so wonderful that we decided we’d cover the common questions or concerns when it comes to sensory processing right here for all the moms!

Remember, every child is unique, and understanding their specific sensory profile can greatly enhance their overall development and well-being. If you're looking to contact a pediatric occupational therapist, please visit www.amitypoint.org
